Job Details Careers Center - PhotographerPlease Enable Cookies to ContinuePlease enable cookies in your browser to experience all the personalized features of this site, including the ability to apply for a job.PhotographerJob ID 2017-46390Location US-TN-MemphisCategory News OperationsPosted Date 9/29/2017More information about this jobOverviewLocation: Memphis, TNReports to: Chief Photographer  The primary responsibilities of a News Photographer are to shoot/ edit video and operate cellular bonders/ remote trucks under extreme deadline pressure.ResponsibilitiesInsures sound and picture quality of all video shotWorks alone, with a reporter or field producer to edit the story for broadcast.Drives and operates ENG Microwave Van and Digital Satellite Truck.Maintains inventory of all assigned equipment and responsible for its up-keep.Examines, maintains, and manages routine maintenance of any assigned vehicles.Edits newscasts as required.Operate cellular bonder technology (LiveU) for live shots/feeding video.Operate various phone applications (LiveU / TVideo) for live shots in a breaking news situation.Performs other duties as assigned. QualificationsAbility to shoot and edit video in different settings and under extreme deadline pressure.Ability to drive and operate ENG Microwave Van and Digital Satellite Truck.Ability to operate cellular bonding technology (LiveU) for live shots and feeding video purposes.Operate assigned photography equipment, operate Apple computers.Knowledge of how assigned photography gear works in order to perform minor repairs and troubleshoot in field when necessary.Oversees assigned news car maintenance (oil changes, cleanliness, etc).Ability to operate Final Cut Pro X non-linear editing system.Ability to type.Ability to fully operate Apple Smart Phones and other communication equipment.Vision to shot and edit photo. Physical QualificationsAbility to lift 100 pounds or more as needed consisting of camera equipment, lap top computer, tripods, batteries, etc.Ability to get into nooks, crannies, and high places to shoot video.Work in extreme weather conditions.Accept travel asssignments out of the market as required.Other ItemsMust possess valid Driver's License (or be able to get one) and maintain a clean driving record.Must be willing to submit to a background check and have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.Equal Employment OpportunityCompany InfoTribune Media Company (NYSE: TRCO) is home to a diverse portfolio of television and digital properties driven by quality news, entertainment, and sports programming.
