The Adjunct Course Developer/Faculty will be responsible for developing and teaching a fully on-line course, preparing syllabi and instructing students online.  The adjunct course developer/professor will be responsible for creating syllabus and developing course content; submitting grades, and maintaining regular communication with students via distance technology. Responsibilities:   Develops syllabus and course content; develops and/or selects course materials as necessary.  Meets all established timelines, and completes assigned tasks with minimal supervision. Ensures clarity, organization, accuracy, style, and quality of written work. Teaches part-time online course load as needed. Stays current in the field through professional development activities as planned with the Department Chair. Keeps students engaged in their studies through attendance tracking, engaging and challenging assignments, tutoring, fair and timely assessment, and mentorship. Reports to Administration any unusual student behaviors; submit incident reports and contact Department Chair as required. The Adjunct Faculty is also required to hold virtual office hours, participate in professional development, assessment activities, and attend faculty meetings as appropriate. Participates in student assessment activities, including portfolio/demo reel assessment, collecting and assessing embedded assignments, and analysis of assessments, in order to enhance the quality of the program(s). The Adjunct Professor may also be required to attend orientation and training as it relates to the content and delivery of courses. May participate in faculty governance activities (faculty meetings, committee meetings, new course/program development, etc.) as appropriate. Meets established deadlines, especially course development timelines, attendance, timely grading and online grade book entries, and final grade submissions. Job Requirements:  Industry experience with mobile game design required. Online teaching experience at the college/university level preferred.  Experience in the use of Web-based educational tools is highly desirable. Experience in developing online courses highly preferred. Knowledge of learning outcome definition and assessment is desired. Ability to establish and meet timelines, and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, a passion for teaching, and the ability to effectively communicate with students via distance technology to help them achieve their educational goals.
