Career Q&A with Eric Snyder [9/13 #2]

by Eric Snyder, Founder, College-2-Career

Eric Snyder
Question:
What's the best way to represent my school work when it comes to my work experience?
Answer:
Your school work can certainly be used in examples of how you worked towards responding to an assignment. Many group or team projects where you were grouped with others in your class easily translate into work-related scenarios.

You may want to explain how the project or assignment was organized, how work was divided, how timelines were set up and maintained and what part you played in any of the set-up as well as the work you personally contributed in completing the assignment. Relating how you worked within a team by describing your portion of the work and helping to keep the team on track all highlight relevant behaviors that can connect to a work environment.
