Heavy involvement in the ongoing development of programming of applications will be a critical goal for this individual. Specifically having an understanding of building scenes, template design and playback. Must have extensive knowledge of Transition logic and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues. This position will also be required to train, mentor and improve station-level VizRT designers. The successful candidate will possess the highest competency and must have complete hands-on skills with all VizRT operations and capabilities.ResponsibilitiesDesign and support all Viz functionality for the Tribune television stations. Scripting to access data, System Integration, web design/create server IT, develop templates, and all associated functionality for shared use by Tribune stations a MUST. Design and build virtual environments on the VizRT platform. Will be required to train and mentor VizRT designers and appropriate news personnel at the station level. Candidate will possess full fluency at every technical and operational level of the platform. Expert level, hands-on experience with VizRT Ticker, Windows and Macintosh operating systems, Adobe creative design, editing and associated software is also required. Fluency with Microsoft Suite and other typical office software, along with an ability to learn additional Tribune proprietary business software is also required.QualificationsBA Degree preferred. Must have at least Three (3) years major market VizRT broadcast experience. Must have the ability to manage multiple projects under extreme deadlines and pressure. Requires individual to also work creatively and collaboratively with other staff members, including producers, engineering and production control staff. The right candidate will possess dedication, passion, a strong work ethic and all the while maintaining a sense of humor. Must be willing to travel. Once candidate is selected for an interview; the candidate will be required to provide work samples and three (3) industry references along with three personal references. Work samples should commensurate with major market or network level quality.
