Position Summary:
The candidate will be providing technical project management for Time Inc.’s Internet Operations and Engineering team. The Internet Operations and Engineering team is responsible for building and maintaining the bulk of Time Inc.'s domestic web sites including People.com, InStyle.com, EntertainmentWeekly.com, Health.com and RealSimple.com.

Key Responsibilities:
• Planning, scheduling, managing and tracking discrete but overlapping projects that may range from hardware and software upgrades to application implementations or web site launches
• Manage people and other resources indirectly as part of the cross functional team that is required to complete a project
• Keep stakeholders informed of key issues and changes which may impact expected business or project results
• Working closely with senior technology management and other business-side project management organizations
• Maintaining group project and planning calendars
• Running weekly project meetings
• Facilitate team meetings effectively
• Create and maintain meeting minutes and action items
• Manage the effective execution of tasks and/or processes on a project
• Ensure project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately
• Defining, documenting and implementing “Best Practice” project management process and procedures
• Long term planning of staff resource availability that may determine the timing of technical and business driven projects or clearly demonstrate the need for additional resources
• Evaluating and defining the staff’s availability for new projects versus the time taken by day-to-day maintenance tasks

Experience Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree or better
• PMP certification highly preferred
• 3-5 years of experience managing large technical projects across multiple teams in an Information Technology or Internet specific business environment OR 3-5 years in Information Technology management or consulting
• Able to define project scope, develop detailed baseline project plans and technical specifications, facilitate the collection of technical, operational or business requirements, set milestones, as well as track and manage projects to successful completion
• Must be able to clearly and regularly communicate status, issues and risks to project stakeholders
• Excellent interpersonal skills including negotiation, problem resolution and customer service
• Outstanding analytic and problem solving skills
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills including the ability to establish goals and set clear expectations, prioritize activities and follow through to completion
• Must be highly organized and able to multi-task
• Experience with similar IT, software development or web hosting environments is a plus
• Experience with software development life cycles, infrastructure roll outs, application release management required
• Expert with Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
• Experience with wikis and/or project management software including Confluence and Jira is a plus
