Whiskytree , located in the Bay Area of northern California, offers visual effects, art department, retouching, and location capture services for film, games, and advertising.   We are seeking a Systems Administrator to join our team immediately.   Responsibilities   •Maintain network servers, storage, and organization •Maintain software licenses and initiate purchases of required hardware and software •Through company directed and self-directed training, maintain and facilitate company systems including: -Workstations -Xsan -Ethernet and fibre channel networks -Firewall and network ACL’s -Fileservers -Nearline and backup storage -Storage Cluster -Active directory and email credentials -License servers -Render farm/Compute cluster -Machine room -VMware vSphere •Pitch in to production work where feasible •Contribute to the success of the company on a daily basis     Requirements:   • Required IT experience, including hardware and software installation and networking • 3-4 plus years of experience in related field • Experience in Linux is desired • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related fields • Self-starter able to work in a team environment • Able and willing to follow direction and collaborate productively with others • Excellent written and verbal communication skills     To Apply:   Send email to ro@whiskytree.com that contains the following: • Subject line “Systems Administrator submission - your name" • Your resume and cover letter  • A link to your website or portfolio     No phone calls please.
