The Role

Time Inc. is looking for a Front-end Web Developer to join our team on a full-time basis here in New York City. We’re seeking a developer with a strong knowledge of front-end technologies that’s interested in living on the bleeding edge . You'll work with a smart, dedicated development team to build the next iteration of TIME.com. The ideal candidate will be someone that is technically curious, has experience with JavaScript MVC frameworks, follows DRY principles, and writes code with performance and scalability in mind.

Skills & Requirements

Required

● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
● A minimum of 5+ years experience designing and building complex web applications
● Strong knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML5 , CSS3 , JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery
● Experience writing OO JavaScript, jQuery plugins
● Experience using one or more JavaScript MVC frameworks (Backbone.js, AngularJS , etc)
● Unix / Linux proficiency
● Experience with version control ( git , svn )
● Deep understanding of client-side performance optimization
● Visual design acumen and understanding of UX principles and best practices
● Solid written and verbal communication skills
● Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills
● Smarts, humility, and equal willingness to learn and teach
