Product Manager - Southern Living Digital

Time Inc. is one of the largest branded media companies in the world and engages more than 50 million uniques per month, leveraging the best portfolio of brands and intellectual property in the industry.

We are looking to add an enthusiastic, talented and experienced professional to our digital team to focus on Southern Living products and services, including website, mobile, community, e-commerce, and premium/subscription services. This position will be based in our Birmingham, Alabama office. The Product Manager in this role will also collaborate with Product Managers that are focused on other Time Inc. Lifestyle brands such as Cooking Light, Coastal Living, Sunset, and MyRecipes .

Responsibilities

The Product Manager will lead the development and execution of innovative and best in class digital products. He or she will play a key role in the ongoing development of the digital business and work closely with editorial, sales, and marketing teams. Responsible for defining digital goals with stakeholders and executing solutions to meet the associated KPI’s .

• Lead cross-functional agile teams to develop product requirements and goals, taking into consideration consumer needs, business drivers, and technical considerations
• Create wireframes and specifications, collaborating with stakeholders, to be used by designers and developers for implementation
• Project manage the implementation of site enhancements and new features
• Finish out project lifecycle by managing launch announcements, and post launch analysis of usage and effectiveness
• Manage the process with external partners and vendors when defining requirements that involve integration with third-parties (such as advertising partners, resellers, web-tracking vendors, etc)
• Troubleshoot issues that arise in production; escalate to appropriate parties for resolution
• Monitor competitive trends and track features/functionality of competitive set


Requirements:

• Love of all things Southern
• Outstanding organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Results-oriented with ability to bridge the gap between business and technical stakeholders to effectively and efficiently execute and deliver on a product roadmap
• Ability to think strategically and to translate ideas into actions
• 5+ years of product management related to web applications, preferably consumer-oriented
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum product management: running daily stand-ups, sprint planning, lean product testing, etc.
• Familiarity with Drupal (or similar content management tools), JIRA (or similar project management tools), Photoshop, and Omniture (or similar digital analytics)
