Summary Executes innovative community related activities to retain and attract players. Also works to facilitate the growth and continued success of the player community. Requirements Ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment Flexibility and willingness to navigate areas of unfamiliarity Effective oral and written communication skills Positive and professional attitude Strong word processing and other computer skills Independent worker (i.e., takes initiative and works well with little supervision) Efficient and productive Knowledge of the entertainment software industry Knowledge of the Massively Multiplayer Online game genre Japanese language skills and experience working with Japanese corporations (not required, but a plus) Essential Duties and Responsibilities Executes ideas for activities designed to increase player enthusiasm and focus on player subscription retention Prepares reports of activities for review, negotiation, and approval. Creates graphics, screen shots, and back-up data to present concepts. Leads presentations interdepartmentally and via teleconference calls with Japanese office counterparts in order to review and assess the viability of a project. Prepares revisions and modifications as discussed and agreed upon. Prepares final presentations for discussion and approval by appropriate groups Works with third party fan sites and provides new screen shots, new content and sets up interviews for incorporation into the web site in order to ensure continued interest in Square Enix products. Provide articles posted on forums posing reader questions and soliciting feedback. Interfaces with development team and provides game specific answers and responses Stays abreast of community thoughts and reactions in anticipation of subscriber needs or concerns. Will visit website forums and read player comments and opinions about game play. Reviews subscriber feedback. Will also play game to collect data and verify players' concerns And other related duties as required Education and/or Experience Minimum High School diploma or equivalent One to two years extensive knowledge and experience with FINAL FANTASY XI, FINAL FANTASY XIV or other MMORPG One to two years experience working professionally for an Online Community Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite One to two years web design and maintenance experience (not required, but a plus) One to two years graphic design experience (not required, but a plus) One to two years audio/video editing experience (not required, but a plus) Travel and overtime often required
