Must efficiently analyze, troubleshoot, and correct malfunctioning equipment and systems. Respond to trouble calls and effectively communicate with operators and staff to resolve problems. Hands on experience with traditional station gear (VizRT, Evertz, Telex, Vinten robotics, etc…) as well as new ip-based systems.QualificationsThree to five years job experience as a Maintenance Engineer. BS degree in a technical discipline, i.e., electrical engineer or equivalent work experience. Ability to work alone, determine priorities and be a self-starter without supervision. Ability to work under deadlines and time constraints. Ability to work various hours including nights and weekends. Must be able to lift equipment up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work on scaffolding or top of trucks. Must have the basic skills to read station drawings, understand signal paths, utilize test equipment, terminate wires, and troubleshoot fiber connections. Must have fundamental computer, server, and network knowledge as it applies to broadcast engineering.
