Debra Young knew what she wanted for her career very early on in life and that was music.  It’s her passion for music that has rendered the respect of some of the industry’s most prolific artists of our time - Mary J. Blige, 98 Degrees, Boyz II Men, Midnight Oil, Aerosmith and Steve Earle to name a few. Debra used her legal contract administration experiences and moved to Sony Music Entertainment A&R Administration where she worked closely with the artists at Columbia Records and Def Jam Records.  Debra’s reputation in A&R Administration and Production brought her to Uptown Records where she supervised all of Uptown’s promotional and commercial releases.  When Andre Harrell, former CEO of Uptown Records was asked to be President of Motown Records, Debra was an integral part of his transition team.

Debra has expanded her knowledge of the entertainment industry by becoming active in concert and TV/Film production.  In 2005, she produced the Secret Garden Relief Concert for Hurricane Katrina at the Henry Fonda Theater in Hollywood.  Following the success of that concert, she was tasked in 2006 and 2007 with producing the Island Jam Concert Festivals in Jamaica, co-sponsored by ABC Radio Networks and broadcast daily across the USA to their radio stations.

In August 2007, Debra began working as the Executive Production Assistant to Executive Producer on the TV One talk show entitled Baisden After Dark, hosted by ABC Radio personality Michael Baisden.  Debra also worked as an Executive Production Assistant on the TV One comedy competition show entitled Bill Bellamy’s Who’s Got Jokes (Seasons 2-4). 
Debra’s most recent position was that of Production Coordinator for the small independent film entitled Charles & Katt, directed and written by actor Charles S. Dutton. 

Born and raised in the Holy Grail of blues music - Memphis, Tennessee - Debra graduated from the Debra brings with her a wealth of diverse professional experience combined with a profound enthusiasm for the creative arts and a respect for the artist’s vision.
